Qui Scolon, densamque iugis Eteonon iniquis.
Hinc proverbium: Scolon ne proficiscaris ipse, ne alterum comiteris: quô utimur, teste Eustathiô cum significatur, abstinendum a
convictu alicuius, vel a loco, a quibus nihil sit sperandum boni. Nam Scolos apud Strab. l. 9. vicus est Boeotiae ad radices montis Cithaeronis inamoenus, incultus, infrugifer, de quo Plin. l. 4. c. 7.
